Our Nursery school is well entrenched in Montessori Education and the British curriculum.
Our Curriculum provides pupils with opportunities to develop not only in academics but also physically, emotionally, intellectually, morally, and socially to become independent early in life.
At the Nursery classes, we involve the pupils in activities that encourage pupils to be independent, self-confident and initiate interaction with others.
Subjects taught in Nursery include:
Numeracy, Literacy, Elocution, Science, Health, Food, and Nutrition, Understanding the World, Creative Arts, Handwriting, Rhymes, Personal and Emotional Development, Safety measures, Religious Knowledge, Etiquette, and Life skills.
Here are the age range of the pupils in the Nursery
Reception Class Pre-Nursery: ages 2-3years
Nursery 1: ages 3- 4 years
Nursery 2: 5 years.
Our methodology emphasizes practice and discipline with the development of 21st Century Skills through Child-Centered Learning and the use of technology. Our curriculum incorporates coding within academic courses.
We prepare our pupils for high school and beyond through the development of; Numeracy, Literacy, Bible Knowledge (Christians), Islamic/Arabic Knowledge (Muslims), French, Yoruba, Social Studies, Civic Education, Security Education, Basic Science, Physical and Health Education, Music, Arts And Crafts, Computer Appreciation, Vocational Aptitude, Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Poetry, Handwriting and Library Studies, Reading, and Creative Writing ll. They hone their abilities for research and learn to communicate effectively, collaborate genuinely, and think creatively and critically.
Wales International School is a Co-educational institution situated with access safe and secure environment along Lagos / Ibadan Expressway, Aseese, Ogun state.
Academically, the school follows the timetable and template of the Federal and State Ministries of Education with a blend of British and American Curriculum
The College trains Children ( Ages 11-13 years) for the Basic Education Certificate Examination, Junior BECE organized by NECO (Federal) and Ogun State Ministry of Education in preparing and Admission to Senior Secondary School.
