VALEDICTORY SPEECH
I am deeply honoured to stand before you today to give thanks to this school, its management and its staff, and express gratitude to parents and families and all those who have supported our learning. We say thank you to our dedicated teachers for their passionate teachings, encouragement and advice. Most importantly, we want to say thank you to our mummy Mrs Ashaolu for overlooking our immaturity. Also to the admin staffs for keeping us grounded.
Today, marks a bittersweet moment as we bid farewell to our secondary school and prepare to embark on new adventures. We have come a long way since our first day filed with nervous excitement and uncertainty. As we reflect upon our times together, let us cherish the memories we made and the growth we experienced throughout these years.
At first, we thought Mr Otusanya was too hard on us, Mrs Ayuba’s English class was too complicated, Mrs Ogunlusi’s constant warning was too much, Mr Aderigbibe’s mentoring and counseling was a lot. We thank Mr James for being our greatest supporter, a brother, a father, guardian, mentor. Everyone of you(teachers) have worked so hard to make us what we are today. You have instilled in us teachings that is so priceless. We are grateful to you for all your patience, love, and care you showed us. We also appreciate Mr Akinrnlola and Mr Okediji thanks so much for being part of our success story. We are forever grateful.
To my fellow graduands ,as we say goodbye to our secondary school, let us embrace the unknown with courage and enthusiasm. Let us dare to dream big, set goals, and pursue our passions. Let us remember that each of us has unique talents and abilities waiting to be nurtured.
As we step into the next phase of our education, let us carry the lessons, friendships and values we have acquired. May we approach our future endeavors with confidence, resilience, and a hunger for knowledge.
Congratulations to each and every one of you on the completion of this chapter. Farewell, and may the road ahead be filled with endless possibilities and success.
Congratulations class of 2023.
